A sustained family commitment

Nutriset Group is the avant-garde creation of one man, Michel Lescanne. Driven by a passion for Development, Africa, and children, he founded Nutriset in 1986 in Normandy (France) to address an urgent, unmet need: aiding children affected by severe acute malnutrition in Southern countries.

35 years ago, we created Nutriset to respond to an absolute emergency: feeding children. Our commitment continued to contribute to nutritional self-sufficiency for all with the creation of the PlumpyField® network.

Nearly 40 years later, the company has evolved into a multinational group present in 11 countries.
A family business now managed by the second generation, we pride ourselves on financial independence and complete governance freedom, preferring long-term positive impact over quick investment returns.

Today, with Nutriset Group, we are renewing our commitment to always design and produce quality nutritional solutions. We are expanding our knowledge, our professions, and our partnerships with one sole purpose: to provide effective solutions to nutrition/malnutrition issues for all vulnerable populations, from infants to the elderly.

An innovative governance model

Eager to perpetuate the company’s mission and to ensure the means to achieve our objectives, the company’s mandate to Fight Malnutrition was incorporated into the company’s statutes as early as 2015. In collaboration with the Ecole des Mines, the company became the first Extended Social Purpose Company in France.

This extended social purpose aligns the company’s management with its shareholders’ values in a dynamic of collective project collaboration. Through the implementation of nine principles, it guides all strategies and facilitates the establishment of an innovative governance model among all the company’s stakeholders.
